An algorithmic playhead skips across the surface of several layers of a sample in which a woman describes her idea of tranquility. Both the frequency and the wavelength of this algorithmic playhead vary over time.
As the playhead touches the sound in each layer the white noise of the background is stained red. The density of the stain and so how long it takes to fade is relative to the volume of the sound in that layer. The result is a hypnotic and yet non repeating generative audio-visual.
