The game, created for the Leftfield website, was inspired by the Afrikashox video directed by Chris Cunningham.
Afrikashox features the vocal talents of Afrika bambaata and is reminiscent of much of Bambaata’s output from the 1980’s. The gamesong appropriates the format of the classic 1980’s arcade-game Frogger.
As the user leaps accross the busy road they mix in different elements of the Africashox song.
